Owen successfully won the tender for the installation of full mechanical servicesto the EEF technology hub. The project consisted of a 20 class rooms, offices, kitchens, toilet blocks and a large workshop area. Working along side the main contractor and the clients we designed the installation which would perform under the desired requirement while having pressure of a short 17 week project time.

Daikin VRV Heat Recovery systems were implemented to provide heating and cooling throughout the classrooms and offices, While Air handling units were installed within multiple plant rooms to provide fresh air through out the building.

Utilising the 81% thermal efficiency of the Reznor SDH we were able to provide tempered fresh air to the large workshop areas.

Installation of 2No. Ideal EVO Max boilers in conjunction with a Hamworthy calorifier provided all the hot water to the 45 basins, 5 showers, 35 Radiators and all the catering equipment across 2 kitchens.

Due to limited water pressure and the size of the project Owen installed a Duty Point 2000 litre booster set. All of the mechanical installation was controlled via a custom made BMS panel which ensures that all plant is working together effectively and efficiently.
